Devon Magliozzi, PhD

I'm a sociologist who likes getting into the weeds on important problems and sharing what I find. 

I researched social issues like how to move beyond binary measures of gender and how suburban policing reinforces inequality while getting my PhD at Stanford. 

Then I dug into local policymaking as a journalist in Ithaca, NY, where I reported on everything from police use of force to property taxes to workers’ collective action rights (plus the odd rabid skunk story).

Now I'm using social science to steer policymaking and philanthropy.
